Brown pigmentation, freckles, sun spots, brown birthmarks can be reduced with lasers eg Q switched Nd:YAG, Alexandrite laser and Intense Pulsed Light. Superficial pigmentation is easier to treat and uses shorter wavelengths of light. Deeper brown marks and more difficult and require often several treatment session.
3. Laser Hair removalMore information on Hair Removal .... Several lasers eg Alexandrite, long pulse Nd:YAG can successfully reduce hair growth. Intense Pulsed Light is also used. In all cases, many treatment sessions (at least 6) are needed to remove most hairs. Generally all lasers work best for darker hairs with lighter skin. White hairs generally don’t respond to lasers or Pulsed Light. Often lasers are more efficient than pulsed light at removing coarse dark hairs, and require fewer treatment sessions.
